DANIEL HUTCHINGS WHO?
Daniel Hutchings is a filmmaker and comedian whose comedy explores the creative and artistic freedoms offered by digital technologies on the outskirts of the entertainment industry.
It is here that Hutchings has cultivated a comedy persona and a filmmaking voice that illuminates the inner lives of its characters, showing where they clash with their surroundings. Hutchings' comedy can be seen in their feature-length "Thingys" and in their live performances, here at Presents Inc, the home of the Thingy.
"Since 2012, I've been on a comedic exploration on the outskirts of the entertainment industry for a small but infectious following. So far, I've made 5 feature films, which I call my "Thingys", and written 3 books about their journeys. This has led me to people I never would have met and places I would never have been otherwise. I do this because I want to make the world a happier place....one laugh at a time."

Since 2012, Presents Inc has been producing, exhibiting and distributing the Thingys of Daniel Hutchings.
As well as this, Presents Inc also distributes the original motion picture soundtracks and publishes Hutchings' making-of books that detail the productions of each Thingy. This website, the home of the Thingy, allows you to watch Thingys, read about their making, listen to their soundtracks and purchase Presents Inc products in our shop.
Presents Inc also represents Hutchings as a performer and guest speaker, handling all enquires and bookings. If you wish to discuss Hutchings' availability, or screening a Thingy at your event, get in touch via the Contact page.

Q: When is the next Thingy screening?
A: All of Hutchings' Thingys play regularly as part of Presents Inc pop-up Thingyma events.
Check out the Presents Inc Events page for listings, both past, present and future!
These are mainly in the Greater Manchester Area, but Thingys have also screened
in other areas of the UK as well as Milan, Italy.
Q: Does Hutchings do live comedy?
A: Yes, Hutchings performs as their Freelance Giggle-oh comedy character. This character
developed as Hutchings gigged in comedy clubs, variety nights and arts fairs
before the pandemic. Hutchings' comedic services can be booked via the Contact form
